Last Thursday Alison's Fall released its debut EP called Killswitch in De Zwarte Ruiter in Den Haag. The brother-sister band formed by Floortje and Pepijn van der Kooij received attention by 3voor12's podcast Psychocandy for their single Double Six and got a nice review by 3voo12 Den Haag for their single Double Six.
Alison’s Fall has been with MDM Management & Productions ever since September 2019, though has only been officially signed to the management since the EP release. Ever since the main focus with Alison's Fall was promoting this EP release and the previously released singles Double Six and Gambling Man.
Killswitch is the debut EP by the band which was released on the 7th of November. As Floortje van der Kooij (lead singer & bass player ) explains their recordings:
"Killswitch is about power. The lack of power, the choices we make, the consequences. It’s a game, you either win or lose."
The live band consists of Floortje van der Kooij (bass, lead vocals), Pepijn van der Kooij (guitar), Martin Brummelkamp (drums) and Djamilo Both (multi instrumentalist). The four man band is currently finishing the Popronde with sixteen bookings all over the Netherlands. Next weekend they will play their final Popronde shows in Breda and Enschede.
